It's been awhile since
I have written my thoughts for the web page. Although I can't help
but to give a big compliment to Michelle Starr, one of the promoters
of ECCW out of Canada. I hired Michelle to have his ring and some
of his talent brought out to Seattle, Washington for an event I helped
do the booking for, Jonathan Knudson's PWA promotion.
Michelle is originally out of Southern California, and worked locally
and in Tijuana for some time. One of my former students Bulldog Sampson
arranged for Michelle to wrestle in Canada for Al Tompko many years
ago. Evidently Michelle stayed and now has a family there, and is
part owner of a promotion, and I doubt he will ever come back to SoCal.
I was impressed with how well he takes care of his wrestlers and how
well they return the favor and take care of him. He pretty much runs
things the way I did awhile back, with an out of sight, out of mind
attitude. He uses wrestlers that help him. In the past he, too, has
had his share of problems with individuals that when they don't get
their way they turn on him with lies and bull to try to stir others
into following them. None the less, those that are with him are a
good bunch of hard working individuals that seem to apreciate what's
given to them. I was impressed with Michelle Starr's wrestlers he
brought in from Canada as well as the locals from the Washington area.
The two gals on the show were awesome and couldn't believe they actually
helped with the ring after the show was done.
Special thanks for the fine work the talent I took from Southern California.
I am looking to change things a little here at the EWF, as some of
our students seem to be getting too comfortable. Till next time.
