JESSE'S THOUGHTS

The Empire Wrestling Federation is on a roll! Pro wrestling events in the San Bernardino area have always been tough. I am proud to say that things are going well for the EWF, as most San Bernardino shows have been drawing closer to the 200's. This last Saturday at the Operation Phoenix HQ event was awesome as the gym was packed and proud to say that the action was exciting.

A few hours before the show started, Icarus Eagle, who was making his wrestling debut that afternoon received a very surprising phone call from legendary superstar Mick Foley! Yes, that's right, Mankind, himself, called to wish this young man good luck in his first ever pro match. Mick Foley was in Los Angeles at a comic book convention and a friend of Icarus Eagle let Mick know of his upcoming match and told him he was from the Jesse Hernandez School of Hard Knocks. Mick, being a class act kind of person he is, called the young wrestler. I also spoke to Mick and thanked him for his generosity and reminded him that he is totally a great person.

Once again I have to thank the talent for their hard work and unselfish attitude to help bring entertainment to the community. It's amazing how the young talent is blooming, as I see each wrestler giving it his all to entertain our fans. The event was free of charge to the youngsters seventeen and under, with adults paying $10.00 for the show. Special thanks go to John Mejia who runs a tax service in San Bernardino, along with American Sports University and Nice Bunz and Subz for their helping make this event happen.

An unexpected phone call from a member of Covina's Knights of Columbus Hall asking EWF to help with a fundraiser for his daughter Lilian Caughman, who is trying to raise money for her trip to Australia, as she is in the USA team. This Charity Event will take place Saturday March 22 / 6:00 PM Bell time at the Knights of Columbus Hall 4315 N. Vincent Ave. Covina, Ca. On the card you will see Scorpio Sky, Dan The Man Kobrick, Bino Gambino, Brandon Gatson and more EWF stars. Come on out and support this cause. There will be a taco bar and each paying customer will receive a free taco! Adults $11.00 Under 12 $5.00 Donations are welcome.

As originally scheduled, the EWF will be Back On Track as we return again to Covina's Knights of Columbus Hall on Friday March 28th / 8:00 PM with a Falls Count Anywhere match between Hook Bomberry and Mikey Henderson. EWF Heavyweight Championship match Brandon Gatson vs Joey Ryan, Bino Gambino vs Mars Vaughn and more.
