Premium has proven to be nothing more than pure, exciting wrestling
action. Each wrestler stepped into the ring that night and went “balls
to the wall” as they fought for the right to have their hand
raised as the victor. |
| Match 1: Inland Title Series Round 2 TJ Perkins vs. Hook Bomberry “Premium” was an explosive night and this match set the bar very high. This was also the 1st match of the 2nd round of the Inland Title Series. Both TJ and Hook started the match in a very intense manner, hitting some very impactful moves and trying to end this match early. However, Hook got frustrated and TJ got the best of him, though it didn’t last long as Hook took control of the match. After being beaten down repeatedly by Hook, TJ eventually hit a Sit Down Powerbomb and a Tornado DDT. Although that wasn’t enough to keep Hook down, and after a struggle between the two, Hook hit his Swinging Neckbreaker, from which Perkins kicked out. Bomberry tried to suplex him but Perkins countered it into an O’Connor Roll for the win. Winner-TJ Perkins |
| Match 2: Non Title Cruiserweight Match Ryan Taylor vs. “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson A man like the “Machine Gun” is not to be underestimated. Ryan Taylor seemed to be aware of that as he seemed very weary of his larger than usual opponent. After a hard chop in the corner from Anderson, Taylor became more intent on winning and less on his opponent’s size. Despite Taylor’s actions they weren’t enough to keep the big man down. In the end, both men fought each other, periodically hitting their finishing maneuvers to try to end the match. Eventually, after Anderson gave Taylor a Spine Buster, he stepped over him to put him into a Boston Crab, from which Taylor submitted. Winner- Karl Anderson |
Match
3: TNT vs. Johnny Starr and J. Terex, III
This match was the only tag team event of the night and was very competitive right until the end. TNT is known for being very innovative and impactful, a style that Starr Inc. is not used to. However, Starr Inc. managed to gain control over Brandon Nitro. Eventually, Nitro made the tag to his partner, Johnny Dynamite. Dynamite and Nitro took control and came out the winners of this match. Winners - TNT Post Match - Starr Inc. decided they have had enough and all four men jumped Nitro and Dynamite. Liger Rivera and Ryan Taylor came to the rescue and in the midst of all the commotion a confrontation started between Ryan Taylor and Johnny Starr. Starr and Taylor then stood face to face in the ring as Taylor was challenging Starr. After a face-off between the two; Starr was forced out by referee Mando Vega. |
Match 4: Inland Title Series Round 2 Jason King vs. Joey Harder Joey harder started this match off by jumping King, attacking him from behind. King fought back and went for an Asai moonsault but Joey blocked it and continued to use his roughneck style on Jason. Towards the end of the match, Johnny Paradise, who has interfered in two of Jason's matches before (one of which was Jason’s first round match of the Inland Title Series), threw a chair to Joey Harder. Paradise overthrew the chair, which gave Jason the opportunity to retrieve it. He nailed Joey with a Shinning Wizard through the chair. The referee saw this and disqualified Jason King Winner- Joey Harder by disqualification |
Match 5: EWF American Championship vs British Commonwealth Championship - Title for Title Match Dan Kobrick vs. Paul Tracy This Match started off with both men trying to gain the upper hand through a series submissions and wrestling tactics. Tracy soon came out on top but Kobrick did what he does best, and started to intensely pick Tracy apart though a series of strikes and wrestling maneuvers. Tracy tried to come back against his opponent. However, Dan just became more intense and stopped him every time. Eventually, the referee was knocked unconscious, which was quite unfortunate for Tracy as he flew of the top rope for an Elbow Drop and the referee was unable to make the count. Dan Kobrick then, out of frustration, grabbed his title and smashed it into Paul’s forehead. He went for the pin in hopes of winning the NWA British Commonwealth Championship but the referee was still dazed from being hit and made a count so slow that Paul Tracy was able to kick out. Dan went to hit Paul with the belt again but Paul ducked it and hit the ref. They continued to fight. When it looked like Paul was going to win, the referee called the match and disqualified Dan Kobrick for use of the championship belt. Winner- Paul Tracy by disqualification |
Match 6: EWF Heavyweight Championship Match - Triple Threat Match Bino Gambino (C) vs. Liger Rivera vs. Rocky Romero This was the main event of the evening and featured the 2 men trying to win the one belt that everyone wants. Bino Gambino, the champion, was trying to keep his title and beat the odds. This match seemed to be very back forth as to who would win. At some points, Liger was the man in control. In other parts, Romero was the lead man and even Bino, who was proving why he has been able to keep the belt for so long, took considerable control throughout all this back and forth action. The match came to a climatic end when Romero had Gambino in an Ankle Lock, Bino rolled through and sent Romero crashing to the floor on the outside of the ring. With Bino laid out in the middle of the ring clutching his injured ankle, Liger came out of nowhere to capitalize and hit his patented Shock and Awe, an Outside In - Over The Top - Middle Rope Springboard Senton. Bino gained control of his senses, rolled out of the way and managed to hit Liger with the Bino-mite, and pin Rivera for the 1-2-3. Winner - Bino Gambino |
