The Battle At Bethel

The long awaited union of five time world champion and wrestling legend, Nikita Koloff and the EWF has finally happened! The night also saw the return of two So-Cal and EWF superstars, the “Suicide Kid” Mikey Henderson, and Cincinnati Red! Top that off with a special appearance by Hall of Famer Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and you have the makings of one spectacular wrestling event!

Match 1: Liger Rivera vs Dan "The Man" Kobrick

The night started with a fast paced match between the 2005 Rookie of the Year and the two-time former Cruiserweight Champion. Kobrick made an early statement by using his power and brute force to ground the high flyer. Kobrick nearly executed his new move, the “Triple Cripple” a combination of two fierce DDTs followed by a devastating brain buster. Kobrick had the two DDT’s locked in and executed, but as he set Liger up for the brain buster, Liger reversed it! The speedy cruiserweight locked in a crucifix submission hold, then sent Kobrick to the mat with a hurricanrana! Follow that up with a quick cover to secure the victory and referee Jesse Hernandez had no choice but to count the 1-2-3!

Winner: Liger Rivera

Match 2: "Marvelous" Max Martin vs "The So-Cal Kid" Ryan Taylor

Marvelous Max made his way to the ring by himself! Max had become used to traveling with his entourage of his employer, “Handsome” Johnny Starr and his lawyer, J. Terex III. Would Max be at a disadvantage without help from ringside? It appeared so as Taylor took advantage of Max early on in the match. Max dodged a big top rope splash from Taylor, and picked him up over his shoulders. Max executed a big sit-down face plant, which Max has dubbed, “The Max Factor”, as the Marvelous one proved he didn’t need his entourage to pick up the win.

Winner: "Marvelous" Max Martin

Match 3: Bino Gambino vs Doink the Clown

The angry Gambino, still fuming from his recent title loss, walked into the Bethel Arena with a surly attitude and look on his face. He argued with the crowd, insulting the town and the arena and was ready to leave the ring when the fun loving Doink entered the ring! He “goosed” Bino, and then scooped him up for a body slam. The always comedic Doink tripped Bino, and went for a pin. Bino countered with a trip of his own, and tried to pin Doink. The two continued back and forth, and Bino was so confused he ended up pinning the ref! It obviously didn’t count as Bino became infuriated, then locked in the underhook and executed the Bino-mite for the victory!

Winner: Bino Gambino

Match 4: Ultimate Wrestling Action TV Championship

Mikey Henderson (c) vs The Hero w/ manager Time

The match began with Hero acting very unhero like, gouging Mikey in the eye to gain an early advantage. Time was on Hero's side as the crooked manager interfered and distracted the ref so The Hero could choke Mikey using the ropes. After some high-flying moves from both men the tide began to turn, as the defending champ would come back in championship fashion. After a series of vicious chops, Mikey would pickup the Hero and nail him with his Miracle Maker finisher.

Winner and still champion: Mikey Henderson

Match 5: Syrus & Puma vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Cincinnati Red

Before the match, Nikita Koloff announced that whoever got pinned or submit, would be put through a table as a punishment! Syrus and Puma would have their work cut out for them as they had to face returning EWF hardcore superstar, Cincinnati Red and WWE Hall of Famer, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. Syrus was no doubt shocked at the blatant breaking of the rules by Cincinnati Red. Early on, they locked up and Red took the opportunity to pull Syrus down to the mat and into the corner by his hair. Syrus quickly retaliated with a devastating clothesline which sent Red tagging in Valentine.

The match continued as the mysterious Puma executed a modified snapmare to Valentine and sent him to the mat. Both "The Hammer" and Red were dazzled by the cunningand speed of Puma. Eventually, Syrus was able to grab a headlock on Valentine, who sent him flying into the ropes, where he was met by a kick to his back. Referee, Jesse Hernandez was unamused by the cheap tricks employed by Valentine and Red. As he was giving a warning to Valentine, Cincinnati Red had time to use his trademark bat on Syrus. Red swang for the fences and nailed Syrus directly in the abdomen. As Syrus writhed
in pain, the ruthless Red would swing the bat down again, this time on Syrus' upper back. An injured Syrus would not be able to continue and needed to be helped to the back, despite wanting to finish the match.

With Puma the remaining wrestler left on his team, he grabbed the mic and said he would not be intimidated by the Hall of Famer and Red and proceded to jump in the ring and take it to both Valentine and Red. He valiantly held his own against them, but to no avail. Valentine locked in his patented figure four leglock, and Puma was left with no
choice but to tap out.

Per the stipulation, Red and Valentine demanded that Puma be put through a table.. UWA TV Champion Mikey Henderson appeared from the back to put a stop to the proceedings in the ring and volunteered to sacrifice himselffor Puma. Red and Valentine were dead set on putting someone through the table and unfortunately for the champ, they took him up on his offer. The table shattered to pieces as they viciously sent Mikey through it.

Winners: Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Cincinnati Red
