On April 26th, 2007, the Empire Wrestling Federation joined forces with Maric College to present “Pin Down Your Future” in Riverside, California. The show was one of the most unique and entertaining showcases that the EWF has put on this year, with its expansive roster coming together to compete for a whopping four hours. EWF Cruiserweight Champion Ryan Taylor proved that he was the very definition of a fighting champion, bookending the show by defending his title in not only the opening bout (against Markus Riot) and the main event (against newfound nemesis Kid Karnage), but also twice in between, taking on EWF newcomer The Irish Icon as well as Sydney, Australia’s Jay Law. The EWF American Title was also defended at the show, as new champion “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson successfully defended his gold against “The Kansas City Killer,” TJ Perkins. Also on the show, continuing the triumphant return to EWF rings started at “Fallout 2” in Covina, former EWF Heavyweight Champion Vizzion saw victory not once, but twice, pinning both The Irish Icon and Damien Slater. Hook Bomberry, one half of the EWF Tag Team Champions, also proved why he is at the top of the EWF rankings this month, scoring impressive victories over Slater as well as the 2006 Rookie of the Year, “The Boyle Heights Bad Boy,” Angelas. When all was said and done, “Pin Down Your Future” enthusiastically demonstrated the heart and passion of the EWF roster. With Ryan Taylor successfully defending his Cruiserweight Title against four different opponents, Kid Karnage taking on three competitors, and nearly the rest of the card pulling double-duty, it can’t be argued that the Empire Wrestling Federation pinned down its own future with this memorable event.
