Overkill 2

Match 1: "Iceman" Webster Dauphiney vs "The Australian Dynamo" Bernie Bays

The match began with Bays doing some technical wrestling. Bays and Iceman traded wristlocks back and forth, going from wrist and moving into the head lock. Bays powered over Iceman with the headlock. Iceman ran to the outside of the ring to rethink his strategy but took too long. Bays took Iceman down with a baseball slide. Bays picked up The Iceman and gave him an Australian thrashing. Iceman delivered a mean dropkick to the down Bays. The look of pain on Bays'es face was obvious. Iceman was ready to put Bays away but Bays pulled it together and got ahold of Iceman, giving him The Dingo Drop. Now, with both men laying on ground in pain, Bays got on Iceman for the count. 1, 2 but, not 3. Iceman got up with Bays, Iceman just a tad faster, kicking Bays again and again until, Bays was on a knee. The Iceman took the chance and, BAM- gave Bays The Dark Wizard. The kick to the back of the head took Bays down and Iceman wins another.

Winner: "Iceman" Webster Dauphiney

Match 2: Jay Law vs Damien Slater

This was a match of skill. Slater went for a wristlock, while Law reversed it to his own . Slater broke the lock and walked away. They went back into a lock up and right back to the wrist. Law with the wristlock, soon worked the arm, putting a hurting on Slater. Law put Slater into an armbar, squeezing hard. Slater thought smart and rolled Law into a pin. Towards the end, Slater caught Law with a German Suplex and straight into a Kimura. After a few minutes, he finally got to the ropes. Slater complained to the ref, giving Law some time, in which he used to give Slater a damaging neck breaker. Both men were slow in getting up to their feet. Once on their feet, they began trading chops and forearms. It looked like Law was close to winning this bout but Slater pulled a fast one on the ref and hit a low blow with a mule kick. Slater took the hurting Law and picked him up for a Brainbuster and going right into another Kimura lock. It was too much for Law this time and had to give in. Slater won this match by submission.

Winner: Damien Slater

Match 3: "Marvelous" Max Martin vs Maximo

At the start of the match Martin and Maximo both tried to win over the crowd as they each took turns showing off on the turnbuckles. Martin, getting more and more boos with every try, went right for Maximo while his back was turned. Martin then took ahurt Maximo outside the ring and continued beating on him. Martin took his sweet time, smiling and giving the crowd a little dance before taking Maximo back into the ring. Martin eventually nailed Maximo with a brutal Clothesline. Martin picked up a dizzy Maximo and gave him what can only be called a picture perfect Standing Dropkick. Maximo returned it with a Dropkick of his own. Martin, now down on the ground in the center of the ring, stumbled to get up. Maximo hit the ropes and went right for Martin's waist but Martin reversed it and gave him his patented Max Marks The Spot Dominatort for the win.

Winner: Max Martin

Match 4: Vizzion vs Dan "The Man" Kobrick

Vizzion started off the match as he always does by promising the crowd a free Vizzion T-shirt. Kobrick couldn't take it anymore and stole Vizzion's shirt. He ran outside the ring, where Vizzion followed. Once Kobrick had gotten back in the ring, he cut Vizzion off and choked him out with his own shirt Towards the end, Kobrick got into position behind Vizzion, giving him a Germen Suplex, followed by another Germen Suplex. It looked as though Kobrick was going to give Vizzion a third but Vizzion reversed it. Kobrick, too, reversed it, right into a Suplex. Now, with Vizzion on the ground, Kobricks went up to the corner. Getting Vizzion in his sites and jumped. Vizzion moved and the crowd jumped out of their seats as Kobrick screamed in pain. Vizzion scooped Dan up over his right shoulder and got a running start to Powerslam Kobrick down to the mat. Now Vizzion, ready to give Kobrick the 20/20 Elbow, climbed to the top rope. Out of nowhere came Terex to push Vizzion off the top, earning a disqualification for Dan The Man.

Winner: Vizzion by DQ

Match 5: Angelas & Country Bear vs Featured Attraction (with Mad MacIntosh)

The new team of Featured Attraction, managed by Mad MacIntosh, made their Covina debut against EWF's 2006 Rookie of the Year, Angelas, and Country Bear. Angelas started the match, dominated Mike Arsenal & Matt Flash. Angelas went for a quick victory, but whenever he covered one, the other broke up the count. Once Country tagged in, he took over, beating Arsenal & Flash, but was soon outsmarted. Featured Attraction began double teaming Country, while MacIntosh distracted both the referee and Angelas, enabling them to do some damage to Country Bear. Angelas had finally had enough when he noticed MacIntosh defiling his flag. An enraged Angelas chased MacIntosh from ringside, leaving Country Bear alone with both Mike Arsenal and Matt Flash. Country soon fell victim to Arsenal & Flash's Clothesline into a Back Cracker, earning Featured Attraction their first victory in Covina.

Winner: Featured Attraction

Match 6: EWF Cruiserweight Championship - Non Title Match

Ryan Taylor (C) vs Ronin

Ronin, also making his debut in Covina tonight, took on the EWF Cruiserweight Champion, Ryan Taylor, in a Non-Title Match. Ronin has proven he could brawl back at Hit & Run in Ventura, and proves in this match that he can wrestle with the best. Both men tried to out-wrestle the other in the early moments in this match, which Taylor seemed to get the best of, locking on his Half Crab early in the match. Ronin quickly made his way to the ropes, breaking the hold. Unfortunately for Taylor, this seemed to awaken the sleeping giant. Ronin became more aggtressive, hitting clotheslines and various suplexes, with which Taylor returned the favor, hitting his own suplexes and top rope Sentons. It would prove to be Ronin's night, however, with the combination of wrestling a much bigger man and coming in at less than 100% from a record breaking 4 title defenses the day before. Ronin was simply too much for the battered Taylor, and defeated him soundly with his Death Valley Driver. After, Ronin was so impressed with Taylor's resiliency and 'never quit' attitude, he applauded Taylor and raised his hand for the Covina crowd.

Winner: Ronin

Match 7: EWF Tag Team Championship

The Iron Express (C) vs TNT

The Iron Express, coming off of a brutal Submissions Match for Joey Harder's EWF Heavyweight Championship, was forced to put aside their differences and defend the tag team championship against the #1 Contenders, Brandon Nitro & Johnny Dynamite. At least it seemed they might put aside their differences. They started early, using teamwork and quick tags, but Hook's jealousy of his tag partner began to show, tagging in and out with loud chops to Joey's chest, which quickly annoyed Joey. After a particularly deafening chop to Joey, the teammates began to argue. Brandon Nitro went for a 'Meeting of the Minds' but was pushed back by both men, who then continued their arguement with each other. Nitro tagged in Dynamite, who threw Joey from the ring and concentrated on Hook. After delivering a few nice moves on Bomberry, he finally countered with a Jawbreaker, a desperation move at this point, and tried to tag in Harder. At this point, sick of Hook's stiff tags and remembering their match at Zero Tolerance '07, when Hook refused to tag in against the Young Bucks, Joey, too, refused a tag. This left Hook alone in the ring as TNT delivered their tag team finisher, Ground Zero to pin Hook and win the Tag Team Championship, while Joey looked on.

Winner and New Champions: TNT

The Aftermatch

Joey Harder graciously raised the hands of the new tag team champions and left the ring. As both Joey Harder and Hook Bomberry had left, an unfamiliar music played over the system. As TNT were celebrating their newly won EWF Tag Team Championship, some names from the past emerged from behind the curtain. Malice and Mayhem, the longest running Tag Team Champions, had made their way to the ring and made a challenge for the titles at EWF's 11th Anniversary show on May 11th. Knowing that The Iron Express would not be needing their rematch clause at this point, Jesse Hernandez made the match as part of the big Triple Main Event, along with Joey Harder defending the EWF Heavyweight Title against former champion, Kayam, and The 2nd Annual Great Goliath Memorial Battle Royal!
