San Bernardino, CA

"Way Outreach Ministries" Show

On 1/19/07, The EWF returned to San Bernardino at The Way World Outreach Ministries. The raucous crowd was in for an exciting night of wrestling action!

Match 1: Kid Karnage vs "Tough" Tony Raze

The first match saw the wily cruiserweight veteran, Kid Karnage, accompanied by his “associate” Ron Kilbourn, take on relative newcomer “Tough” Tony Raze. Karnage dominated early and often, using his speed and quickness to take advantage of the rookie. Raze would make a comeback and had Karnage on the ropes several times. The X-Factor was Kilbourn, who distracted referee, Jesse Hernandez, on the outside of the ring with a steel chair. With Hernandez’ attention focused on Kilbourn, Karnage was able to grab Raze’s signature cowbell and use it as weapon, violently clubbing Raze over the head and laying him out. As Karnage threw the incriminating evidence out of the ring, all Hernadez saw was Karnage covering his opponent, and he counted the 1-2-3.

Winner: Kid Karnage

Match 2: Ryan McBain vs Angelas

The next match saw the return to the ring of powerful SoCal veteran, Ryan McBain, making his debut in the EWF. It was his task to take on Angelas, the newly crowned Rookie of the Year. McBain’s strength and size served him well throughout the match, but it was Angelas with his Chokeslam Crucifix that dealt the final blow. McBain arose quickly after the pin, meaner and angrier than before. It seems this would not be the last we’ll see of McBain.

Winner: Angelas

Match 3: "Sadistic" Ron Kilbourn vs Ray "Boom Boom" Murillo

A battle of the big men was next up as Ray “Boom Boom” Murillo took on the “Sadistic” Ron Kilbourn. A great back and forth match as these two men really slugged it out. As Murillo gained the upper hand, referee, Patrick Nelson, was knocked down and winded by an errant block from Kilbourn. Murillo was able to gain the upper hand and go for the cover. With the ref still down, Kilbourn’s “associate,” Kid Karnage, left the commentary table to interject himself into the match. With Murillo still covering Kilbourn, Karnage made his way to the top rope and executed his patented “Acid Reign” frog splash. Murillo was able to quickly roll out of the way, and Karnage nailed his associate, Kilbourn, by accident! Referee Nelson came to, ejected Karnage from the ring, and made the three count as Murillo covered Kilbourn for the victory.

Winner: Ray "Boom Boom" Murillo

Match 4: EWF Cruiserweight Championship

Ryan Taylor (C) vs Liger Rivera

The main event saw the Cruiserweight Champion, Ryan Taylor; defend his title against two-time former Cruiserweight Champion, Liger Rivera. Rivera mounted his usual high-risk, high-flying offense, but Taylor answered by grounding his opponent. Taylor used several maneuvers such as head vices and arm bars to keep Rivera on the mat. Rivera made a quick comeback and came close with several near pinfalls but Taylor was able to kick out each time. Taylor became frustrated and went to the outside to grab a steel chair. Referee Patrick Nelson would have none of it and confiscated the steel chair and removed it from ringside. It was all a ploy to distract the ref, as Taylor then used his title belt as a blunt instrument, clocking Rivera upside the head. Taylor then applied his dragon sleeper to an already unconscious Rivera, as referee Nelson called for the bell.

Winner: Ryan Taylor

Match 5: 6-Man Elimination Tag Match

Liger Rivera, Ray "Boom Boom" Murillo & Tony Raze vs Ryan Taylor, Ryan McBain & Kid Karnage

That match should have concluded the evening, but after an irate Rivera came to, he challenged Taylor again. This time the locker room cleared, and the battle lines were drawn. Rivera teamed with “Boom Boom” Murillo and Tony Raze, as Taylor teamed with Kid Karnage and Ryan McBain. The two sides would match up in a six man elimination match. Ryan Taylor eliminated Tony Raze to kick things off, as inexperience was the downfall of the rookie. Ray Murillo then eliminated Ryan McBain after a tough battle. Kid Karnage quickly came in and eliminated Ray Murillo. Liger Rivera eliminated Kid Karnage, and it was down to Taylor versus Rivera again. This time, Rivera would gain a measure of revenge as he was able to pin Taylor and pick up the victory.

Winner: Liger Rivera
