there is a sunrise and there is for sure a new future for the EWF.
With everything from Johnny Starr leaving the EWF, to Hook Bomberry’s

Match 1: Liger Rivera vs "Iceman" Webster Dauphiney Liger started the match trying to use his best trait, which is high flying, and kept his skilled opponent off his feet. Eventually, Iceman sidestepped Rivera as he went for a spear in the corner and Iceman immediately began his punishment upon the high-flyer. The end came when Rivera went for his patented “Shock and Awe” and Iceman rolled out of the way and hit a reverse Shining Wizard for the win. Winner: Webster Dauphiney |

2: Bobby Jo Marshall vs "Redback" Cameron Wallis
Marshall started things off by trying to bully his opponent, toying with him, refusing to lock up with him, untill Wallis had enough and shoved Marshall out of the ring. This made Marshall irate and he began to pound his fellow Australian and use brutal attacks to weaken his him. However, in the end of this match, Wallis got a Standing Fireman’s Carry on Marshall but before he could do anything, Marshall was able to roll up his opponent. Wallis kicked out but then received three kicks to the head followed up by an Axe Kick for the finish. Winner: Bobby Jo Marshall |
Match
3: Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson vs Sexy Chino
This was Chino’s debut in the EWF. The match did not start off too good for Chino, however, as Anderson began overpowering his much smaller opponent. Chino tried to distract Anderson by dancing but Anderson wouldn’t take it and started chasing Chino around the ring. At one point, when Anderson attempted to slide back into the ring, Chino jumped on top of him and began dancing on him, which made Anderson even madder and started to tear the lightweight apart. This match ended after Chino hit a Missile Dropkick and went for a pin but Anderson kicked out and was able to catch Chino in a Spinning Spinebuster followed by a Boston Crab for the submission. Winner: Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson |
Match 4: Cruiserweight Championship Ryan Taylor (C) vs "Sexy" Sonny Samson It was very clear that Taylor was not going to underestimate Samson the 2nd time around as he delivered a Dropkick to Samson while Jessica Walters was still doing the ring introductions. Taylor began to deliver punches to Samson and continued to stay on top of him until he eventually escaped to the outside of the ring. However, Taylor followed Samson with a Suicide Dive and the two began to fight around the ring. Samson was able to periodically gain control over the champion as he delivered a Gut Buster out of a Fireman’s Carry followed by a big Clothesline to the back of the head. This match ended when Samson again tried to use Taylor’s Dragon Sleeper but Taylor delivered several knees to the head of Samson and reversed into the Slice Bread Number 2 followed by a Dragon Sleeper. Samson had no option but to tap out. After the match Samson was forced by the stipulations of the match to leave Starr Inc. "Marvelous" Max Martin and J.Terrex, III both left the ring as well, leaving behind Johnny Starr. Winner: Ryan Taylor |
| Match 5: Loser Leaves EWF Match Bino Gambino vs "Handsome" Johnny Starr With Starr still in the ring, due to the aftermath of the last match, Bino Gambino came out to the ring and said that since he wouldn’t be able to claim his re-match clause for the EWF Championship, he would give Starr his shot at the title if Starr could beat him but if Starr lost then he would be forced to leave the EWF forever. Starr accepted and jumped Bino from behind. Bino came back at Starr and after delivering a Plancha to the outside of the ring, both men then started to periodically gain the upperhand. This match came to an end when Starr went for the Superkick but Bino caught it and, after a struggle, went for the Binosault. Starr moved and threw a clothesline, which Bino caught and reversed it into the Binomite for the win. After the match, Bino grabbed the microphone and sang goodbye to Johnny Starr, but then Bino said thank you to the crowed and to Jesse Hernandez for all of his success, and said good bye to the Knights of Columbus Hall. Winner: Bino Gambino |

Match 6: EWF American Championship
Dan "The Man" Kobrick (C) vs LTP Kobrick was originally supposed to face TJ Perkins but due to unknown reasons, Perkins was unable to make it. For this reason, Kobrick got on the microphone and said how pissed he was that his opponents were too afraid to face him, first Syrus and now Perkins. Kobrick issued an open challenge to any wrestler who has never faced him before. This challenge was answered by none other than LTP. Kobrick began the match with brutal strikes but LTP was able to use his agility to get the better of Kobrick, though after a Slingshot in the corner by Kobrick and a running Dropkick, Kobrick was able to regain control. In the end, LTP tried to win the American Championship by using a standing twisting back flip. Kobrick managed to kick out and after the two fought a little more, Kobrick eventually was able to hit a Reverse Michinoku Driver for the win. Winner: Dan "The Man" Kobrick |

Match 7: Midnight Dynamite
& Ron Kilbourn vs TNT & Mando Guerrero
Nitro and Paradise started things off when Paradise attempted to ground Nitro. He was unsuccessful as Nitro was able to hit some innovative maneuvers. Both men tagged out to Kilbourn and Johnny Dynamite. They both tried to prove their strength and power but Dynamite got the best of Kilbourn. After both tagged out, Mando Guerrero and Charles Mercury entered the ring. Mercury wanted no part of Guerrero and tagged out back to Kilbourn. Mando then began picking apart the big man's legs, trying to downsize him. TNT seemed in contol of the match until Paradise raked the eyes of Mando and the three men went to work on the ring veteran. This match ended when Mercury hit Nitro with a chair and then threw the chair to Dynamite who then attempted to hit Mercury with it but the referee turned and saw the chair in the hands of Johnny Dynamite and disqualified TNT and Mando Guerrero. An irate Mando Guerrero issued a challenge to Johnny Paradise for an Old School Strap Match, who eventually accepted. Winners by disqualification: Midnight Dynamite & Ron Kilbourn |
Match 8: Southern Dance Country Bear vs Angelas The winner of this bout would be crowned the 2006 EWF Rookie of the Year. The rules for this match were introduced by Country Bear, himself, who christened it a Southern Dance. Both men were allowed 2 weapons and they both made the most of it. It began with both men throwing punches and Angeles hitting a huge clothesline on Country Bear. However, Country Bear was able to come back against Angeles with a few strikes and nearly knocked him out for a 5 count (which is the preferred way to win the match). Angeles broke a 2X4 over Country's back and was able to deliver a chair shot to his face, followed by his Ground and Pound attack, from which Country could not answer the 5-count and was declared the victor. Winner: Angelas |
Match
9: EWF Tag Team Championship
The Iron Express (C) vs The Young Bucks Joey Harder, the current EWF Tag Team champion and EWF Heavyweight Champion, began to wrestle with “Mr. Instant Replay” Matt Jackson. Both men gave the other an arm drag and decided to tag in their partners. Hook Bomberry and “Slick Nick” Jackson squared off. Nick started to use moves from his patented, high flying arsenal to best Bomberry, so Bomberry started to resort to cheating and tried to use his partner, Joey Harder, in his attempts to cheat. Harder, trying to prove he deserves to be a double champion, would have no part in it. The Young Bucks took control over Bomberry but Iron Express took control of Matt. Mr. Instant Replay fought back, but Harder was able to hit an innovative Reverse DDT to even the score. It was apparent that Harder desperately needed to make the tag. Finally, as Harder was close enough to make the tag to Bomberry, Bomberry left the ring and refused to help his partner to win the match, leaving his partner, and seemingly the Tag Titles, behind. The Young Bucks capitalized on Harder and moved in for the kill with their signature double team move known as “More Bang for Your Buck”, Harder was able to escape and shove M.I.R. into Slick Nick, causing Nick to crotch himself on the top rope and Harder rolled up M.I.R. for a near impossible victory. Hook came back to the ring to celebrate the victory as if nothing had happened, much to Joey's dismay. Winners: The Iron Express The Young Bucks have proven themselves to be worthy contenders to any tag team in the EWF. Furthermore, The Iron Express seems to be self destructing before our very eyes. On February 9th in Covina, for the first time in EWF history, our Tag Team Champions will square off for the EWF Heavyweight Championship. Will the Bucks be able to capitalize on the inner turmoil between The Iron Express? Only time will tell! |
