|
Welcome, EWF fans, to another
exciting recap of the latest installment in the EWF. It was on Sunday,
March 4th, that the EWF saw the return of a legend and the face off
between two former best friends, now bitter enemies. Last Sunday was
a hot night for the EWF and a very interesting one as well, and it
all came to an explosive and bloody end as the EWF presented Pain
Solves Everything! |

Match 1: "Iceman" Webster Dauphiney vs Liger Rivera This match started with Iceman and Rivera exchanging slaps, which escalated into strikes, which became a brutal exchange of each man trying to gain the upper hand until both men were at a stalemate. Rivera then got the best of Iceman, but Webster began using his shoot style to outsmart Liger and he quickly got this match under control. This match ended when Iceman delivered a strong Brainbuster but Rivera kicked out and after an exchange was able to hit the Shock and Awe for the big win. Winner: Liger Rivera |

2: La Ola Del Mal vs Mercurio & Damien Slater
Both teams began by trying to win over the crowd in their favor but eventually, Mercurio faced off with Black Metal and was able to get around the big Luchadore and keep him off his feet long enough to frustrate him. Both men then tagged in their partners and Slater was able to use his agility to keep Extreme Loco off his feet as well. Black Metal interfered and the two giants began to pick apart Slater. The end came when Mercurio got back in the ring to save Slater from his beat down but Mercurio was thrown out of the ring and Slater was left to fend off both big men, to which he was unsuccessful and received a big Powerbomb from Black Metal for the win. Winner: La Ola Del Mal |
Match 3: Chance Prophet vs Bobby Jo Marshall Chance Prophet is a newcomer to the EWF but his background and credentials are quite impressive, as he has shown in this match. Bobby began by playing with his opponent as he usually does but Prophet didn’t let him get away with it. Prophet continued to outshine Marshall until he was thrown to the floor face first in a desperate attempt to gain control. The end came when Chance tried a top rope maneuver but Marshall caused him to lose his balance and crotch himself on the top rope. Marshall then went for a powerslam but Prophet reversed it into an O’Connor Roll for the win. Winner: Chance Prophet |
Match 4: Angelas vs Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson Angelas came into this match with a fearless look in his eye and Anderson seemed to be weary of it at first. It started with Anderson and Angelas trying to use their strength to overpower one another. Eventually, Angelas was able to gain the upper hand, that is until Anderson had enough of the rookie and began to punish him in the ring and on the outside. The end of this match came when both men were in the ring and Angelas went for his patented Ground & Pound attack but Anderson was able to block the blows. Anderson then caught Angelas with a Spinebuster and a Boston Crab for the win via submission. Winner: Karl Anderson |
| Match 5: EWF Cruiserweight Championship Ryan Taylor (C) vs Kid Karnage Ryan Taylor, recently becoming the EWF’s longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion, was hellbent on keeping his title, however, his opponent for tonight would not be an easy task. Taylor and Karnage began by wrestling on the mat and trying to outsmart the other. This worked to Taylor’s advantage as he ended up diving outside of the ring and onto Kid Karnage. Then, after giving Karnage some hard strikes, he chased him around the ring and was outsmarted by Karnage, who delivered a heavy elbow to Taylor’s back. This Match ended after Karnage hit a running Mafia Kick to the face of Taylor, who kicked out. Then, as Karnage tried again for the kick, Taylor ducked it and hooked Karnage in a Chicken Wing hold and knelt him down to give him a fast Roundhouse Kick to the head followed by the Gojira Driver for the win Winner: Ryan Taylor |

Match 6: EWF American Championship
The Human Tornado (C) vs Dan "The Man" Kobrick Kobrick has been nothing less than irate ever since losing his EWF American championship and tonight was his rematch. Kobrick started things off by immediately attacking Tornado and brutally punishing him. Tornado kept trying to escape Kobrick but he kept Tornado scouted for the most part. This match seemed to turn Tornado's way when he delivered a swift Huricarana to Kobrick but it still wasn’t enough to keep the intensity of Dan Kobrick down. This match ended when Kobrick delivered a knee to the sternum out of a Fireman’s Carry and then went for a Fisherman Buster but Tornado reversed it into a Small Package for the win. Winner: The Human Tornado |
Match 7: EWF Heavyweight Championship Joey Harder (C) vs TJ Perkins Harder has been on Cloud 9 ever since winning the EWF’s most prestigious title, however, one name that has seemed very familiar to him along his way to the top is TJ Perkins, so naturally, when Harder’s original opponent, Sonny Samson, was unable to wrestle due to a broken leg, Perkins was the first name the EWF officials called. Perkins and Harder wrestled on the mat in a very strategic manner, trying to see who the first to make a mistake would be, and that person would be TJ Perkins, who let his guard down and received a vicious kick to the gut after performing a kip up. Both men tried to keep the match in their favor, however, the outcome of this match would be considered more out of their control than anything else. Harder would deliver a big Superplex to Perkins and upon standing up, he found Hook Bomberry standing in the ring. Harder argued with Bomberry until Perkins got up and drop kicked both men and sent Bomberry outside the ring. Then, as Perkins went for an O’Connor Roll off the ropes, Harder ducked and Bomberry hit Perkins in the head with the EWF Tag Team Championship Belt. Mando Vega called for the match and Harder was disqualified. Although, after the match, an irate Joey Harder challenged Bomberry to a Submissions Match for the EWF’s next event in Covina. Winner by disqualification: TJ Perkins |

Match 8: Barbed Wire Match Jesse Hernandez vs Charles Mercury This match-up was previously set for Mando Guerrero to be in action but he was unable to wrestle due to suffering from strep throat. In his place was a man who has made a name for himself in the EWF, the NWA, and the WWF, the legendary Jesse Hernandez. Mercury was weary of his new opponent though he didn’t let it stop him and immediately both men attempted to use the barbed wire covered ropes to their advantage. Hernandez was first to be successful in using the barbed wire and scraped Mercury’s forehead across the barbed wire causing him to bleed profusely. However, Johnny Paradise entered the ring and began helping his tag partner, Charles Mercury, in beating down the veteran. This plan was working in their favor until the giants of the EWF, La Ola Del Mal, entered the ring and spoiled Midnight Dynamite's plan for victory. Black Metal threw Paradise over the ropes and outside the ring and then both men Chokeslamed Mercury in the middle of the ring and put Jesse Hernandez over him. It was a 1,2,3 for Jesse Hernandez. After the match, Hernandez was very thankful for all La Ola Del Mal had done for him and rewarded them by setting a match for the next event in Covina at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Winner: Jesse Hernandez |
